(Xinhua/Wang Song) HARBIN, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) — The former web site of the headquarters of Unit 731, a infamous Japanese germ-warfare unit throughout World War II (WWII), reopened to the general public on Friday, that includes a particular exhibition showcasing proof of its germ-warfare actions.
Nearly 2,100 objects, together with archives, historic supplies, relics and publications collected by the Exhibition Hall of Evidences of Crime Committed by Unit 731 of the Japanese Imperial Army lately, had been unveiled on the exhibition, in response to Zhang Yang, deputy director of the power.
Unit 731 was a top-secret organic and chemical warfare analysis base established in Harbin because the nerve heart for Japanese organic warfare in China and Southeast Asia throughout WWII.
At least 3,000 folks had been used for human experiments by Unit 731, and greater than 300,000 folks in China had been killed by Japan’s organic weapons.
Since final winter, the exhibition corridor has attracted over 3.5 million guests.
