Emperor Naruhito visited his alma mater, Gakushuin University, to attend an “International Mountaineering Report Meeting” on Saturday.
Inside the campus, the “International Mountaineering Report Meeting” was held, co-hosted by the Japan Mountaineering Association and Gakushuin University’s mountaineering membership, amongst others. The occasion featured experiences from college college students and climbers, together with an account of an try by members of the Doshisha University mountaineering membership to make the world’s first ascent of the unclimbed peak “Rama” in Nepal final August. Emperor Naruhito listened to shows from 4 groups for about 4 hours.
Emperor Naruhito, who has a private curiosity in mountaineering, is a member of the Japan Mountaineering Association. He has attended annual dinners and different occasions prior to now, however that is the primary time he has participated in a global mountaineering report assembly for the reason that starting of the Reiwa period.
