Citizen’s arrest YouTuber busted defrauding girlfriend of two.5 million yen by faking uncommon illness

TOKYO, Jan 12 (News On Japan) –
A YouTuber who calls himself “Super Dominator” is being investigated by Tokyo police for deceiving his former girlfriend out of two.5 million yen by falsely claiming to have a uncommon inflammatory illness.

Yuya Sawada (28) is suspected of telling a lady in her twenties, with whom he was in a relationship on the time, that he had “adult-onset Still’s disease (AOSD)” in October 2020, saying, “I need 30 million yen for medical treatment,” defrauding 2.5 million yen in money.

The lady turned suspicious when Sawada confirmed no signs of the uncommon inflammatory dysfunction, ultimately being unable to contact him, and reported the matter to Tokyo police.

During questioning, Sawada reportedly admitted to the allegations, stating, “I spent the money on entertainment.”

Sawada is thought for his “citizen’s arrest-style” movies, the place he pursues and detains odd residents suspected of voyeurism after which fingers them over to police.
