BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) — China’s yuan strengthened in opposition to a basket of currencies in July, in keeping with the China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS).
At the top of final month, the CFETS yuan alternate price composite index, which measures the yuan’s energy relative to a basket of currencies, edged up 0.07 % from the top of June to 96.81, in keeping with the CFETS.
The index compares the yuan with the worth of 24 currencies, together with the U.S. dollar, euro and Japanese yen.
Last month, the index measuring the yuan in opposition to the Bank for International Settlements forex basket rose 0.15 % month on month to 101.13.
The index measuring the yuan in opposition to the Special Drawing Rights basket went up 0.47 % from the earlier month to 92.60.
