Chinese water parks hook ‘One Piece’ pirate character licensing deal

Chinese leisure group Haichang Ocean Park Holdings has inked a merchandise license settlement to make use of characters from the “One Piece” Japanese comedian guide collection in a bid to lure extra friends.

Hong Kong-listed Haichang, which operates water parks in Shanghai and different cities in China, will promote meals similar to sandwiches, popcorn and ice cream that includes characters from this 12 months’s “One Piece Film: Red” anime film.

The Japanese fantasy journey collection follows pirates exploring the seas looking for the final word treasure often known as the One Piece.

The licensing runs via the top of August 2023. The movie, which opened this summer season, has earned over 10 billion yen ($71.2 million) in Japan thus far.

A bunch firm reached the settlement with a subsidiary of Japanese studio Toei Animation.
