China's weekly export container delivery index down

SHANGHAI, June 25 (Xinhua) — China’s index of export container transport fell within the week ending on June 21, in line with the Shanghai Shipping Exchange.

The common China Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) went down 0.8 % from the earlier week to 919.63, the delivery trade mentioned.

The sub-reading for the Korea service fell by 4.8 % from every week earlier.

Bucking the pattern, the sub-index for the Japan service registered a rise of 0.4 % week on week.

The CCFI tracks spot and contractual freight charges from Chinese container ports for 12 delivery routes throughout the globe, based mostly on information from 22 worldwide carriers.

The index was set at 1,000 on Jan. 1, 1998.
