Residents in Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture, have been warned to not contact a cat that fell right into a tank containing the hazardous substance hexavalent chromium, as paw prints counsel it has escaped.
A safety digicam captured a cat working at excessive velocity. Following its path, reddish-brown paw prints had been discovered.
According to Fukuyama City, round 7 a.m. on March 11, an worker at a plating manufacturing unit found paw prints believed to be from a cat in a tank containing the poisonous substance hexavalent chromium. Upon reviewing the safety footage, a cat was seen escaping from the manufacturing unit on Sunday evening. It is presumed that the cat fell into the tank containing hexavalent chromium and managed to climb out and escape.
Hexavalent chromium is a hazardous substance that may trigger irritation of the pores and skin and mucous membranes upon contact. If touched after which rubbed into the eyes, it could probably result in blindness.
An area resident expressed concern, “I hope the cat is caught soon before it causes any harm.”
Fukuyama City is interesting to the general public to not contact the cat if discovered with abnormalities and to promptly contact the town or police.
