Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz gained the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, snapping Max Verstappen’s document streak of 10 straight Formula One victories.
It additionally gave first place to a staff apart from Red Bull, which had gained every race in 2023 due to Verstappen and teammate Sergio Perez.
Verstappen started his streak May 7 on the Miami Grand Prix and gained each race by final Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix. He completed fifth in Singapore.
Sainz, from Spain, gained the pole on Saturday, whereas Verstappen certified eleventh. He mentioned then that the streak would finish.
“Yeah, you can forget about that,” Verstappen informed reporters in Singapore about his probabilities to increase the streak to 11.
Sainz gained Sunday in 1:46:37.418, forward of Lando Norris of McLaren Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes and Charles LeClerc of Ferrari.
The win was the second in Formula One for Sainz and the primary for Ferrari since July 2022, when Leclerc gained the Austrian Grand Prix.
The circuit strikes to Suzuka, Japan, subsequent week for the Japanese Grand Prix.
