HOKKAIDO –
A brown bear repeatedly rammed a transferring automotive on a prefectural highway in Bifuka, Hokkaido, on the evening of September 29, damaging the car however leaving the driving force unharmed, police stated.
According to Nayoro Police Station, the sunshine passenger automotive encountered two brown bears believed to be a father or mother and cub. One of the bears, measuring about 1.5 meters in size, charged the car a number of instances.
The assaults left scratches on the automotive’s hood and precipitated a gap in a part of the car. The lady driving the automotive was not injured, and the bears left the realm shortly afterward.
Hokkaido police on September 30 launched about 20 seconds of dashboard digicam footage exhibiting the bear charging the car. The footage was distributed by way of news organizations as police urged residents and motorists to stay alert for encounters with brown bears.
