A single bunch of Ishikawa Prefecture’s premium Ruby Roman grapes bought for 1 million yen on the season’s first public sale in Kanazawa on Friday, placing the value of every grape at about 30,000 yen.
The bunch contained 33 grapes and weighed about one kilogram. It was licensed as Tokushu G Class, the best high quality grade out there for Ruby Roman grapes.
“Tokushu G, one kilogram. One million yen,” the auctioneer introduced as bidding reached the successful value.
Ruby Roman grapes have been developed by Ishikawa Prefecture and are recognized for his or her giant dimension, deep purple coloration and premium standing.
Seiki Tanaka, a managing government at fruit retailer Ichifuji, stated the corporate deliberate to take the grapes again to Tokyo. “We want everyone to learn just how wonderful these grapes are,” Tanaka stated.
The 1 million yen bunch is predicted to be bought at a fruit store in Mitaka, western Tokyo.
