HOKKAIDO (TR) – Hokkaido Prefectural Police arrested a highschool lady over the alleged tried theft of rice from a market in Sapporo City on Wednesday, experiences TV Asahi (Mar. 26).
At round midday, the 17-year-old lady allegedly grabbed a bag of rice weighing 5 kilograms — price 4,838 yen — from a grocery store in Kikusuimotomachi, Shiroishi Ward.
According to the police, the lady was taken by a safety guard to the market workplace after she didn’t pay. However, she then fled.
She is suspected of assaulting a male worker who chased after her by kicking him within the leg.
Upon her arrest, the lady mentioned, “I shoplifted because I didn’t have any money. I did kick the store employee.”
The highschool lady has no fastened handle. Police are investigating the background of the incident.
