Pair suspected of repeatedly pickpocketing on Yamanote Line – TokyoReporter

TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested two males who’re suspected of repeatedly stealing wallets and different objects from individuals sleeping on JR Yamanote Line trains, studies Nippon News Network (Feb. 9).

At round 12:50 a.m. on February 7, Hideyuki Imabuchi, 71, and Masaru Yasuhara, 60, allegedly stole a pockets containing roughly 33,000 yen in money from a person, 26, who was sleeping on a JR Yamanote Line practice at JR Ikebukuro Station in Toshima Ward.

During questioning, Imabuchi, who lives in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture, admitted to the fees. He mentioned, “I felt seduced when I saw the man sleeping soundly.” However, Yasuhara denied the fees. “I had nothing to do with it,” he mentioned.

As the practice was departing Ikebukuro, Imabuchi sat subsequent to the sleeping man and rummaged by way of his garments and bag whereas Yasuhara, from Tokyo’s Kita Ward, stood guard to hide the crime.

Investigators noticed the incident and arrested the 2 suspects on the spot.

The two males are believed to have repeatedly dedicated related crimes on the JR Yamanote Line since January final yr.
