17 PLA sorties, 6 naval vessels detected close to Taiwan: MND

Taipei [Taiwan], November 27 (ANI): Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defence detected 17 Chinese army sorties and 6 naval vessels in its territorial waters as of 6 am (native time) on Thursday.

In a submit on X, the MND acknowledged that 10 out of 17 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern and southwestern Air Defence Identification Zones (ADIZs).

Earlier on Wednesday, the MND detected 20 Chinese army sorties and 5 naval vessels in its territorial waters as of 6 am (native time).

Meanwhile, Taiwan’s Presidential Office accused China of stoking tensions with Japan for political benefit, hours after Chinese maritime authorities introduced plans for live-fire missile workouts within the Yellow Sea.
