A ten-vehicle collision on Route 36 in Eniwa, Hokkaido, on Thursday morning left two girls with minor accidents and set off a dramatic police pursuit, as the driving force suspected of inflicting the crash deserted his automobile and fled on foot earlier than being arrested a number of kilometers away.
Police recognized the suspect as Tomohiro Imakita, a 33-year-old part-time employee from Eniwa City, who allegedly induced the chain collision by recklessly driving and crashing into a number of automobiles close to the roadside relaxation space Hana Road Eniwa.
