Chinese Court Executes Man Who Killed Japanese Boy to Gain Online Fame

BEIJING, Apr 22 (News On Japan) –
A Chinese man sentenced to demise for the deadly stabbing of a Japanese schoolboy in Shenzhen has been executed, based on diplomatic sources.

The incident occurred in September 2024, when a Japanese boy attending a neighborhood Japanese faculty in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, was fatally stabbed by a person in his 40s.

In January 2025, a courtroom in Guangdong handed down the demise sentence to Zhong Changchun, who was 45 years previous on the time of the decision, for intentional murder.

Japan’s embassy in Beijing confirmed on April twenty first that China’s Foreign Ministry had notified them of the execution.

The courtroom ruling described the act as “an extremely malicious and grave crime” during which the boy, who bore no blame, was killed with a purpose to entice consideration on the web. It stays unclear whether or not the attacker particularly focused the kid as a result of he was Japanese.
