JR Kyushu High-Speed Ferry introduced on December twenty third that it’ll completely withdraw from the Japan-South Korea high-speed ferry route connecting Hakata and Busan. The choice follows a scandal involving the corporate concealing water leakage on its high-speed ferry, the ‘Queen Beetle,’ whereas persevering with operations.
Despite earlier plans to renew providers, it was decided that strengthening the aluminum alloy bow—recognized as the reason for the leakage—was technically unfeasible. The firm concluded that making certain security underneath these situations was not doable.
