Water invoice rip-off case: If LG says Delhi govt can conduct probe, it can achieve this, says AAP’s Saurabh Bharadwaj

New Delhi [India], February 21 (ANI): Following LG VK Saxena’s assertion that the AAP authorities is just not taking motion on the water invoice rip-off case, Delhi Jal Board Vice Chairperson and Greater Kailash MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj stated on Tuesday that main official selections are taken by way of the LG and if he says on report that Delhi govt can conduct a probe, then the state authorities will achieve this.

Bharadwaj launched an assault on LG after the arrest of Jal Board’s Joint Director for Revenue in water invoice rip-off case by the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

The ACB arrested DJB Joint Commissioner Naresh Singh on Monday hours after questioning him on allegations of siphoning a whopping Rs 20 crores in an alleged water invoice rip-off. ACB in its assertion on allegations in opposition to Singh stated that he was receiving bribes price lakhs from the bitevtors of Aurrum and Fresh Pay.

The complete matter of alleged rip-off within the Delhi Jal Board is related to a contract relationship again to the tenure of former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit. The work to gather the payments of the Delhi Jal Board was initially given to Corporation Bank, a central authorities financial institution, which is now Union Bank of India. They outsourced to another firm and that firm outsourced it to another. The payments paid by the folks got by these firms to the Corporation Bank and the Bank later gave it to the Delhi Jal Board.

However, it later got here to note that the outsourcing firm collected Rs 20 crores however did not switch it to the financial institution and ultimately it could not attain the Jal Board.

If he wants, he should give the rights of investigation to the Delhi government.
