Aomori –
The Aomori Nebuta Festival opened in Aomori metropolis on August 2, with vividly coloured warrior lantern floats illuminating the summer time evening as dancers stuffed the streets with energetic chants and leaps.
The pageant, which runs by August 7, started shortly after 7 p.m. as imposing nebuta floats lined up alongside a most important avenue within the metropolis middle and slowly set off to the sound of drums and flutes.
Around the floats, dancers referred to as haneto, wearing conventional summer time yukata, jumped vigorously whereas chanting “Rassera,” bringing pleasure and power to the northern metropolis’s summer time evening.
