A medium poodle named Rokuta, a member of Hiroshima’s Wanpato Squad neighborhood patrol program, and his proprietor, Eri Toya, have acquired a letter of appreciation after serving to find a lacking aged lady in Fuchu Town, Hiroshima Prefecture, whereas on a routine patrol stroll.
The incident occurred in December 2025 throughout considered one of Rokuta’s common patrol walks.
Toya recalled noticing an aged lady standing by the roadside in her pajamas, trying round anxiously.
“The woman was standing around here, holding onto a fence and looking back and forth,” Toya mentioned. “She was wearing pajamas.”
As the girl appeared confused, the pleasant Rokuta approached her. Although she was unable to state her identify or deal with, Toya mentioned the girl appeared to chill out after remembering that she had as soon as owned a canine herself.

“It was a great honor to receive the letter of appreciation,” Toya mentioned. “What makes me happiest is knowing that simply walking with Rokuta allowed us to contribute to the community. We hope to continue these neighborhood watch activities.”
