TOKYO, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) — Japan’s climate company stated on Saturday Typhoon Lan is shifting north over the Pacific close to Japan’s Ogasawara Islands, warning that the highly effective storm might come near japanese and western Japan round Tuesday.

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) stated that as of 6 a.m. Saturday, the storm was slowly shifting northwest over waters 150 kilometers north of Chichijima Island, with a central atmospheric strain of 940 hectopascals and winds of as much as 162 kilometers per hour close to its heart.
