Tokyo Imperial Palace ‘autumn leaves’ opens to public from Nov 25

TOKYO, Nov 11 (News On Japan) –
Inui Street within the grounds of Tokyo Imperial Palace will opened to the general public for 9 days, ranging from November twenty fifth, the Imperial Household Agency has introduced.

During the autumn foliage season, guests can see the colourful Japanese maple and sugar maple timber alongside Inui Street.

The public opening of Inui Street, which started in 2014 to commemorate the eightieth birthday of Emperor Emeritus Akihito, is held twice a 12 months in the course of the cherry blossom season in spring and the autumn foliage season. However, it had been suspended from the spring of 2020 to the spring of 2022 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The one-way route, which is roughly 750 meters lengthy, begins from the Sakashita gate close to JR Tokyo Station and results in the Inui gate. The entrance is open from 9 a.m. to three p.m., with no superior reserving required.

Temperature checks, which have been carried out on the venue throughout this 12 months’s spring opening, won’t be carried out because of the reclassification of COVID-19, though carrying masks can be left to particular person discretion.
