TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have taken greater than 30 girls and boys collectively known as “Toyoko Kids” in protecting custody over the course of 1 week, stories Fuji News Network (Jan. 26).
Between January 17 and 24, officers rounded up 32 girls and boys, aged 14 to 19, within the middle of the Kabukicho red-light district for being out late at night time, smoking and finishing up different offenses.
Four of those youths had been taken into custody for drug abuse. One 14-year-old center college woman from Shizuoka Prefecture was rushed to a hospital after overdosing on over-the-counter medicine.
