Thunder God’s Tale’ wins two Annie Awards

Japanese animation director Tsutsumi Daisuke’s “Oni: Thunder God’s Tale” has claimed two of the distinguished Annie Awards, which are sometimes referred to as the Oscars of animation.

The winners of the fiftieth Annie Awards have been introduced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday.

“Oni: Thunder God’s Tale” collected the award for “Best TV/Media — Limited Series” and one other for “Best Production Design — TV/Media.”

The work is a four-part collection supplied on a video streaming service. It makes use of laptop graphics to create an environment like a puppet present.

The story is about in a world of gods and spirits from Japanese mythology. It depicts a brave, vigorous lady named Onari, who struggles to seek out her true powers to confront the menacing presence referred to as Oni.
