XI’AN, China, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) — China will begin its FIBA Asia Cup 2025 qualifying marketing campaign in Xi’an, capital metropolis of China’s Northwest Shaanxi Province on February 22, 2024.
According to FIBA official web site, China, Mongolia, Guam and Japan are in Group C of the qualifying event.
Mongolia, who was overwhelmed by China 89-50 at Hangzhou Asian Games, will meet the host within the group opener on the Shaanxi Provincial Gymnasium.
The high two from every group, 12 groups altogether, will qualify for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 straight. The six third-placed groups could have playoffs to resolve the final 4 berths.
