TOKYO –
The highway resulting in Otemon Gate at Tokyo’s Imperial Palace was flooded on September 22 after heavy rain from a storm brought on water within the surrounding moat to overflow.
Otemon Gate serves as an entrance to the Imperial Palace’s East Gardens, a landscaped space that features the previous fundamental and secondary compounds of Edo Castle.
The highway is generally utilized by guests to the East Gardens, and overflowing water from the moat close to Otemon Gate was confirmed on the morning of September 22.
The East Gardens remained open to the general public on September 22 regardless of the flooding.
According to the Imperial Guard, no different typhoon-related harm had been confirmed inside the Imperial Palace grounds, and no accidents had been reported.
