At a gathering with the National Governors’ Association and others, Prime Minister Kishida stated, “The declining birthrate is an urgent issue,” and requested for the cooperation of native governments in implementing measures to fight the declining birthrate.
In order to intensively strengthen countermeasures towards the declining birthrate over the subsequent three years, the federal government plans to current a draft of the “Children’s Future Strategic Policy,” which incorporates concrete measures, as early as June 1.
