A police officer fired three gunshots at a person who tried to grab a handgun and was brandishing a wood sword early Wednesday on the streets of Higashiyodogawa Ward, Osaka.
The man swinging the sword suffered accidents to his leg and was apprehended on the scene.
Around 12:40 AM, two law enforcement officials on bicycles approached the person on the streets of Higashiyodogawa Ward, Osaka, and tried to query him. However, the person began to flee.
After working roughly 200 meters, the person took out a wood sword from his backpack and commenced swinging it, trying to grab the police officer’s handgun. In response, the male police sergeant issued a warning after which fired three gunshots in the direction of the person’s toes, with at the least one bullet hanging the person’s leg.
The 37-year-old man, whose residence and occupation are unknown, was arrested on the scene on suspicion of obstructing official duties.
