“PKC link project will soon resolve water issue in Rajasthan”: Union Minister of Jal Shakti CR Paatil

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], December 17 (ANI): Union Minister of Jal Shakti, CR Paatil, on Tuesday stated that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) Link mission would resolve the water concern in Rajasthan and that it could present enough water for consuming, industrial use, agriculture, and livestock there.

This got here following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) inter-state river linking mission between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh earlier right now.

He stated that the mission goals to handle the water scarcity confronted by Rajasthan.

“The water problem that Rajasthan had been facing, this project will help fulfil the shortage of water there. Because of this they will get adequate water for drinking, industry, agriculture, and livestock. The water issue will also be resolved soon because of this project,” Paatil stated.

Earlier right now, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the signing of the MoU for the PKC inter-state river linking mission between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

PM Modi participated within the ‘Ek Varsh-Parinaam Utkarsh’ programme organised in Jaipur to mark the completion of 1 12 months of the BJP authorities in Rajasthan. During the occasion, the MoU for the mission was signed within the presence of each state governments.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav exchanged the MoUs.

“I am happy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has scripted a new history today. An MoU has been signed for the three-river linking project of Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, and the project has now been initiated. The project will provide drinking water as well as water for industries to eleven districts in Madhya Pradesh and several districts in Rajasthan,” CM Yadav stated.

“The project will act like oxygen for Rajasthan. I thank PM Modi for making time for this initiative. Under his leadership, both state governments have worked together, and as a result, the central government is providing Rs 70,000 crore for the project,” he added.

Speaking on the ‘One Nation, One Election’ Bill, Paatil said that the invoice is crucial for the nation, underscoring its significance for streamlining the electoral course of.

“It is necessary for the country,” the Union Minister of Jal Shakti stated.

Earlier right now, ‘The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Bill, 2024’ and ‘The Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024’ had been formally launched within the Lok Sabha after members voted on it. The invoice proposes ‘One Nation, One Election,’ or simultaneous elections to each the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. The invoice will now be despatched to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for additional deliberations.

The Speaker of the Lok Sabha introduced the outcomes of the vote on the introduction of the invoice. The vote recorded 269 members in favour (Ayes) and 196 towards (Noes). (ANI)
