The thirty third Summer Olympics in Paris formally commenced with a gap ceremony held on the Seine River within the metropolis heart on the twenty sixth (twenty seventh Japan time).
This marks the third time the Olympics have been held in Paris, and the primary in 100 years. Against a backdrop of worldwide divisions exacerbated by conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, the Games are being promoted beneath the slogan “A Widely Open Games,” celebrating a pageant of peace. Japan has despatched its largest delegation to an abroad Olympics, with 409 athletes collaborating.
