Osaka City is taking steps to supply lodging for younger folks with nowhere to remain.
Under the Ebisubashi Bridge in Osaka’s Minami district, an space known as “Gurishita,” younger folks with no secure place at school or at residence typically collect.
In September, Osaka City partnered with a help group working a facility close to Gurishita the place younger folks can come and go freely. This partnership goals to higher perceive the scenario and join younger folks to acceptable help providers.
According to a survey launched by the help group on December 4th, amongst 200 facility customers, roughly 54% expressed “lodging” as the kind of help they hoped for, marking a big want.
In response, Osaka City plans to increase lodging help by organising 5 new lodging rooms within the Naniwa Ward by mid-December. These rooms can have no age restrictions, aiming to supply a secure house for these in want.
