A sequence of earthquakes struck northern Nagano Prefecture, with the strongest registering higher 5 on Japan’s seismic depth scale.
The first quake occurred at round 1:20 p.m., recording higher 5 in Omachi and decrease 5 in Nagano City.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquakes occurred close to the Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic Line fault zone.
