GASTONIA, N.C. — A police chase involving two stolen bikes took an odd flip when one of many bikers was discovered hiding within the ceiling at a hospital, based on investigators in North Carolina.
The chase started round midday on Sunday, when a Flock digicam noticed the suspects touring alongside Armstrong Park Road in Gastonia , police mentioned in a May 10 news launch.
“Officers quickly located the motorcycles … and attempted a traffic stop. Both riders took off,” police mentioned. “A short time later, both motorcycles were found wrecked and abandoned at the dead end of Melvin Drive, just east of New Hope Road.”
Gastonia Police Okay-9 Bo was then delivered to the scene to trace down the suspects, resulting in a 20-year-old man being discovered hiding close by in some bushes, police mentioned.
“Bo then continued tracking the second suspect … to CaroMont Regional Medical Center. After an extensive search, patrol officers, with the assistance of K-9 Bo, located (the suspect) hiding in a dropdown ceiling of the hospital.”
The suspect, a 27-year-old Dallas man, had been charged with felony possession of a stolen motorized vehicle, resisting a public officer, second diploma trespassing, reckless driving, and obstruction of a well being care facility, court docket information present.
Charges in opposition to the 20-year-old suspect weren’t launched.
