Textile and garment is a crucial job-generating sector within the Southeast Asian nation, and exhibitions of this type will result in new prospects, applied sciences, and creativity.
YANGON, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) — The 2023 Myanmar International Textile and Machinery Fair was launched within the industrial metropolis of Yangon on Friday.
Speaking on the launching ceremony of the expo, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein mentioned that such form of exhibitions are important for getting new prospects, new applied sciences, creativity and equipment, including that the textile and garment sector was creating about 500,000 job alternatives in Myanmar.
Twenty eight Chinese manufacturers and over 100 producers of textile and attire, footwear and baggage from China will show their merchandise at 100 cubicles, whereas different worldwide manufacturers together with EU and Japanese manufacturers will even be displayed throughout the three-day expo.
With the assist of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang province, the Chinese Textile and Garment Association in Myanmar in collaboration with the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association and different garment associations in Myanmar, organized the exhibition.
The exhibition will likely be held on the Yangon Convention Center in Yangon from Dec. 8 to 10.
