Gifu Police have introduced that what was initially reported as a stabbing incident in Gifu City was, in actual fact, an act of self-harm by the sufferer.
The incident occurred on the morning of January twenty fourth, when a passerby reported seeing a person on the road in Gifu City who appeared to have been stabbed and claimed, “Someone did this to me.”
The man suffered a deep wound to his stomach, and police initially investigated the case as a potential random assault.
However, on the evening of January twenty fifth, police revealed that the person confessed, saying, “I actually stabbed myself.” Authorities concluded that the incident was an act of self-harm and decided there was no felony involvement.
