In a trial during which Yamaguchi Prefecture spent greater than 20 million yen to buy a luxurious automobile, the Century, was disputed. Contrary to the primary trial that ordered, a judgment was handed down that acknowledged the judgment of the prefecture that bought the luxurious automobile as “it cannot be said to be illegal.”
Regarding the ruling, Governor Muraoka of Yamaguchi Prefecture commented, “We believe that the prefecture’s claims so far have been accepted. We will continue to strive for appropriate execution of budgets and administrative work.”
