Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture has decided to use the information issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency about half a day before the occurrence of a linear rain belt as one of the criteria for announcing evacuation information for the elderly. Since it is the first time in Fukuoka Prefecture, Omuta City says, “We want to lead to early evacuation.”
