New Delhi [India], January 27 (ANI): Ahead of the meeting elections in Delhi subsequent week, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) nationwide convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday levelled critical allegations towards the Bharatiya Janata Party, stating that BJP-ruled Haryana authorities has “poisoned” the Yamuna water provided to Delhi in order that “people die” and the blame comes on the AAP.
“BJP’s Haryana government has poisoned the water in Yamuna,” Kejriwal stated in a press convention whereas claiming that the alertness of Delhi Jal board prevented the blending of alleged poisoned water with ingesting water.
“If this water would have entered Delhi only to be mixed with the drinking water, many people would have died in Delhi. It would have caused mass genocide,” the previous Delhi chief minister alleged.
He additional stated that the water remedy crops in Delhi weren’t outfitted to deal with this type of polluted water. “It has caused water scarcity in one-third of Delhi,” Kejriwal added.
“The people of Delhi get water to drink from Haryana and UP. In Yamuna, water flows into Delhi from Haryana. However, the Delhi Jal Board was vigilant enough to stop that water from coming to Delhi. Otherwise, it would have caused mass genocide in Delhi. The BJP government has mixed such kind of poison in the water that cannot be treated even by the water treatment plants,” the previous Delhi Chief Minister stated.
“A few countries use biological weapons to poison river water,” Kejriwal stated whereas accusing the BJP of doing the identical to create chaos in Delhi. Accusing the BJP of indulging in “dirty” politics, the AAP convener stated that this was accomplished to border his authorities.
“Such kind of politics is dirty and should not happen. Such politics is done by enemy countries – as seen in the episode where the USA bombed Japan with nuclear bombs. A few countries use biological weapons to poison river water. But, the same has been done by the BJP government. They have done this to create chaos in Delhi so that the people of Delhi die and the blame comes on AAP. I want to tell BJP to not stoop this low,” Kejriwal added.
He additional stated that Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and her Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann has written a letter to the Election Commission of India (ECI), requesting a gathering on the problem.
“Atishi and Bhagwant Mann have written a letter to the Election Commission and have asked for the time to meet on an urgent basis. I hope the Election Commission will intervene and protect the people of Delhi from such tragedy.”Assembly elections in Delhi shall be held on February 5 and the counting of votes is about for February 8. A complete of 699 candidates are in contest for the 70 meeting seats within the nationwide capital.
The Congress, which was in energy for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has suffered setbacks within the final two meeting elections and did not win any seats.
In distinction, AAP dominated the 2015 and 2020 meeting elections, successful 67 and 62 seats, respectively, out of a complete of 70 seats, whereas BJP secured solely three and eight seats in these elections. (ANI)
