Jorgic, 24, beat Qiu Dang of Germany 4-2 (11-8, 11-9, 13-11, 7-11, 5-11, 11-7) within the males’s singles remaining, whereas within the girls’s counterpart, Han Ying defeated Sofia Polcanova of Austria 4-1 (11-5, 10-12, 11-3, 11-9, 11-5).
Leading by 3-0 within the remaining, Jorgic, who upset Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto within the males’s singles quarter-finals on the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, misplaced his tempo to let Qiu come again by 3-2.
