Japan resumes worldwide passenger transport

FUKUOKA, Nov 05 (plenglish.com) –
The departure of the primary ferry from the Fukuoka prefecture, Japan, to Busan, South Korea, marked the resumption of Japan’s worldwide maritime passenger transportation, suspended in 2020 as a safety measure in opposition to Covid-19, native sources reported.

The Queen Beetle departed from the port of Hakata, in Fukuoka, carrying some 130 individuals on board.

This first journey responds to compliance with the relief of border measures adopted by the federal government of Japan final month, aiming to spice up the deteriorated inbound tourism.

The JR Kyushu firm launched the high-speed ferry service again in 1991. To date greater than 6.5 million individuals have been moved between Japan and South Korea, the Kyodo company reported.
