TOKYO, twenty sixth May, 2026 (WAM) — Japan will begin Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) talks with the South American commerce bloc Mercosur, the Kyodo news company reported on Tuesday.
The launch of the EPA talks is ready to be introduced at a summit assembly between Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on the sidelines of the Group of Seven conferences in France subsequent month, Kyodo stated.
