TOKYO, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) — Japan on Wednesday lowered its COVID-19 journey alert for 54 international locations and one area, with its advisory for journey to these areas being lowered to Level 1 on the nation’s four-tier scale.
The eased alert by the international ministry now advises Japanese nationals touring to these areas to “stay fully alert” in comparison with its earlier request that residents chorus from taking nonessential journeys to these nations.
A Level 2 warning remains to be in place for 35 areas, with advisories for 41 nations lowered from Level 3 of “avoid all travel” to Level 2, the ministry stated.
Seventy different nations and areas together with China, South Korea, India, the United States, Britain, France and Germany are already categorized as Level 1.
Currently, there are not any nations or areas lined by Level 3 or 4 warnings, the ministry stated.
