Japan ex-prime minister Aso pays respects at former Taiwan chief’s grave

Aso Taro, vp of Japan’s fundamental ruling Liberal Democratic Party, has laid flowers on the grave of the previous Taiwan President Lee Teng-hui, who fostered shut ties with Japan.

Aso, who previously served as Japan’s prime minister, arrived in Taiwan on Monday for a three-day go to.
