Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his Albanian counterpart, Edi Rama, on Wednesday affirmed that their nations will work collectively in strengthening sanctions in opposition to Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

Japan and Albania are each at the moment serving as nonpermanent members of the U.N. Security Council. Albania is answerable for drafting a Security Council decision on the Ukraine battle, in accordance with the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
