SHIGA (TR) – Shiga Prefectural Police have arrested a 24-year-old male Indian nationwide over the alleged rape of a highschool woman in Otsu City final month, experiences the Kyoto Shimbun (July 10).
Between roughly 12:40 a.m. and 1:20 a.m. on June 21, the unnamed suspect, a short lived employee, is alleged to have strangled and sexually assaulted the woman at a lodge.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of non-consensual sexual activity, the suspect, who lives in Otsu, denied the allegations. “I did not force her,” he informed the Otsu Police Station.
According to police, the suspect and the highschool woman didn’t know one another. Before the incident, he went together with her to the entrance of the lodge underneath the pretense of asking for instructions. He then compelled her into his room.
