India, Japan signal memorandum of cooperation on semiconductor improvement

NEW DELHI, July 20 (Xinhua) — India and Japan have signed a memorandum of cooperation on semiconductor improvement, Federal Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw mentioned Thursday.

He mentioned there had been a number of rounds of discussions between the Indian facet and the Japanese business, authorities, and academia.

“Today we have reached a decision where Yasutoshi Nishimura, minister of economy, trade and industry of Japan, and our ministry of electronics and information technology signed on behalf of the two governments a memorandum of cooperation,” Vaishnaw mentioned.

“We will be taking it forward through our industry-to-industry collaboration and also through government-to-government collaboration,” he added.
