Hokkaido: Customer left unattended in Hakodate bar dies – TokyoReporter

HOKKAIDO (TR) – Hokkaido Prefectural Police have arrested the 35-year-old proprietor of a bar in Hakodate City after an unattended buyer died.

On January 7, Takaya Ishii allegedly left the male buyer, 33, collapsed on the ground of the bar and leaving him there, inflicting his demise.

Police allege that Ishii didn’t take essential measures, similar to calling an ambulance.

Upon his arrest on suspicion of abandonment leading to demise, Ishii admitted to the allegations. He was despatched to prosecutors on January 9.

The outcomes of an post-mortem revealed the reason for demise to have been acute alcohol poisoning, police stated.

The deceased man was an everyday on the bar. At round 7:00 a.m. on January 7, he arrived on the institution. He then proceeded to come back and go all through the day.
