Hitachi Energy and Samsung C&T Strengthen Collaboration on Global HVAC Grid Projects – Japan Industry News

Hitachi Energy and Samsung C&T Engineering & Construction Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost their collaboration on high-voltage alternating present (HVAC) grid infrastructure tasks worldwide. This partnership goals to handle the evolving international power panorama by modernizing infrastructure and integrating extra clear power sources.

The collaboration will leverage Hitachi Energy’s experience in grid applied sciences and Samsung C&T’s engineering, procurement, and development capabilities. Together, they plan to establish and pursue HVAC alternatives to help the growing demand for electrification in sectors reminiscent of mobility, trade, and information facilities.

Niklas Persson, CEO of Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration Business Unit, emphasised the significance of resilient AC grid infrastructure within the power transition. He said that the partnership with Samsung C&T would speed up grid modernization, strengthen resilience, and allow large-scale renewable integration.

Byung-soo Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung C&T, highlighted the businesses’ profitable collaboration within the UAE and Australia, noting that this mannequin would offer a aggressive benefit in international energy infrastructure markets. The MoU establishes a strategic framework for the businesses to align on AC tasks and develop a shared roadmap.
