TOKYO, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) — Japan’s climate company stated on Saturday that prime moisture ranges are inflicting atmospheric instability over the Kanto area centered round Tokyo and northeastern Japan’s Tohoku area, bringing heavy rain for the areas.
Moist air from Tropical Depression Yun-yeung and the sting of a high-pressure system within the Pacific are producing localized rain clouds over the Kanto and Tohoku areas, in accordance with the Japanese Meteorological Agency (JMA).
The JMA urged folks in Fukushima, Chiba and Ibaraki prefectures to stay on excessive alert attributable to a heightened threat of rain-triggered landslides and overflowing rivers.
Bands of well-developed rain clouds fashioned over Chiba, Ibaraki, and Fukushima prefectures on Friday, stated the JMA.
In Chiba Prefecture, 11 municipalities reported first ground flooding, whereas landslides occurred at greater than 100 areas in 11 cities and cities, it added.
Landslide alerts have been issued in elements of Chiba, Ibaraki and Fukushima prefectures following heavy rains there.
