Two of the 5 individuals who have been confirmed useless thus far in an accident through which a Ground Self-Defense Force helicopter disappeared close to Miyako Island in Okinawa Prefecture, had been each Toru Niwata of the eighth Division Headquarters. It was revealed that they had been Colonel Todoroki (48) and Colonel Koki Shinson (34).
Lieutenant Colonel Niwata is the Chief of Staff of the eighth Division, second solely to the Division Commander and Deputy Division Commander.
