Tokyo police have arrested 4 extra suspects in reference to an extortion scheme that used a matchmaking app designed for folks with disabilities to lure victims to a bar and demand extreme funds.
The suspects embrace Shunta Suzuki, a self-described nightlife enterprise operator, and three different women and men. According to investigators, in February, the group used the app to contact a person with a bodily incapacity and invited him to the bar “Queen” in Shibuya, the place they allegedly demanded 250,000 yen in money for meals and drinks and later confined him in a sauna facility in Tokyo.
Police say the suspects took the person’s smartphone to observe his actions and, by the next morning, compelled him to signal a number of contracts with client finance firms. The group is believed to have obtained a complete of two.42 million yen by way of this scheme.
The sufferer, who wears leg braces and has problem strolling, instructed police he was unable to flee. Suzuki reportedly admitted to the fees, stating that he “gave instructions based on a manual.”
